By using Backly you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About Backly
Backly is a tool that helps beauticians respond to common client questions by providing instant, automated answers based on the information they provide. Backly is designed to reduce repetitive messaging — not replace the beautician or their judgement.
2. Who Can Use Backly
You must be 18 or over to create a Backly account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Use of the Service
By using Backly, you agree to use it responsibly and ensure that the information you provide (services, pricing, policies) is accurate and up to date. Backly relies on this information to generate responses. You must not use Backly for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
4. Not a Replacement for You
Backly does not handle every situation and is not intended to replace personal communication with clients. You remain responsible for your business decisions, client interactions and final outcomes.
5. No Medical Advice
Backly does not provide medical advice. Health-related or sensitive client questions are flagged and the client is directed to contact their beautician directly. Backly is not a substitute for professional medical or clinical guidance.
6. Data Collection — Phone Numbers and IP Addresses
We collect your phone number at signup to send you your Backly link and weekly stats updates. We also collect IP addresses of users interacting with Backly pages solely to help distinguish admin test activity from real client activity in usage statistics. Neither phone numbers nor IP addresses are sold or shared with third parties.
7. Email Communications
By providing your email address, you agree that it may be added to our mailing list. We may send you product updates, new features, tips on getting the most from Backly, and occasional announcements. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting hi@backlyapp.com.
8. Anonymous Data Use
We may use anonymous client questions as examples or testimonials to demonstrate how Backly works. No personal information is ever shared or attributed.
9. No Guarantees
Backly aims to provide helpful and accurate responses, but we do not guarantee complete accuracy, suitability for every situation, or that responses will always meet your expectations. Responses are generated based on information provided by the beautician and may not always reflect real-time changes.
10. Intellectual Property
Backly's branding, technology, content and design are owned by Backly. You may not copy, reproduce or use any part of the Backly platform without permission.
11. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the service, provide false information, or violate these terms. You may also close your account at any time by contacting us.
12. Limitation of Liability
Backly is not liable for decisions made based on responses, loss of income, bookings or clients, or misunderstandings between you and your clients. Backly is not a party to any transaction or relationship between a beautician and their clients. Use of Backly is at your own discretion.
13. Subscription & Payments
Backly is offered as a monthly subscription. Billing is recurring unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time. Access will continue until the end of your billing period.
14. Cookies
Backly uses cookies for basic functionality and to improve your experience. By using the site you agree to this use.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms over time. Continued use of Backly means you accept any updates. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made.
